Suffolk Breeders Take Top Honors at State Fair
DES MOINES, IA (09/16/2009)(readMedia)-- Tom Burke Suffolks of Platte City, Mo. captured three top honors August 22 in the Suffolk Sheep Show at the 2009 Iowa State Fair. The farm won were, Grand Champion Ewe, Reserve Grand Champion Ram and Premier Exhibitor.
Grand Champion Ram honors went to Lansing Suffolks of Ossian along with third place Premier Exhibitor honors.
Reserve Grand Champion Ewe honors were awarded to Cynthia Huckins of Spring Creek, Nev. as well as second place Premier Exhibitor. The Premier Exhibitor award is presented to the exhibitor earning the highest point total in individual breeding classes of competition.
