Sullivan County Store Owner to Receive $1,000,000 Mega Millions Megaplier prize

CALLICOON, NY (03/01/2011)(readMedia)-- New York Lottery draw team member Gretchen Dizer will present an over-sized prize check to a Callicoon, Sullivan County store owner who won New York's first $1,000,000 prize on the new Mega Millions Megaplier feature.

The Megaplier is an add-on feature of the Mega Millions game that was introduced in New York last month. For an additional $1 per game, the Megaplier feature allows players to multiply their non-jackpot Mega Millions prizes 2, 3, or 4 times. Players who match the first five numbers automatically win $1,000,000 instead of the usual $250,000 prize.
