Survivors, Advocates, Lawmakers Launch Survivor Justice Agenda Ahead of 2024 Legislative Session

NEW YORK, NY (12/18/2023) (readMedia)-- On Tuesday, survivors, advocates, and lawmakers will join together to announce the Survivor Justice Agenda: key pieces of legislation that will put power back in the hands of survivors of sexual abuse in New York.

This work builds on the Child Victims Act and Adult Survivors Act: legislation that opened up lookback windows for survivors of sexual abuse and recognized that the constrained time limits in New York's statutes were not in line with what experts understand about trauma.
