Sustainability Coordinator Joins Champlain College Staff
Christina Erickson Brings Strong Environmental Background to Job

BURLINGTON, VT (10/22/2009)(readMedia)-- BURLINGTON, Vt., Christina Erickson of Burlington has been named Sustainability Coordinator at Champlain College, bringing more than a decade of campus environmental activism and sustainability experience to the position.
Erickson, who is also a graduate fellow in the Office of Sustainability at the University of Vermont, is continuing to work on her PhD in Natural Resources with a focus on Sustainability Education. Erickson's work and research for the past three years include an in-depth study and practice of peer-to-peer sustainability outreach programs, often known as "Eco-Reps Programs."
Prior to her work at UVM, Erickson was the Sustainability Coordinator at Sterling College, in Craftsbury Common, Vt., where she also taught courses in outdoor and environmental education.
She is a graduate of the Audubon Expedition Institute at Lesley University's Ecological Teaching & Learning master's program, which focuses on place-based, ecological education and has a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Sociology from St. Lawrence University in New York..
