THE POINT CDC to Host 23rd Annual Fish Parade & Arts Festival with Bronx River Alliance as Grand Marshals

BRONX, NY (06/17/2026) (readMedia)-- On Saturday, THE POINT CDC will host the 23rd annual Fish Parade & Arts Festival, bringing together South Bronx community members, youth, artists, and local organizations for a family-friendly procession through the streets of Hunts Point to the Bronx River. Like shoaling fish, the community will march together celebrating decades of organizing toward environmental justice along the banks of New York City's last major freshwater river. Bronx River Alliance staff will serve as the event's grand marshals, in honor of the Stop the Cross Bronx Expansion Coalition's ongoing advocacy and the community's shared visioning around the future of the Cross Bronx Expressway. This year's parade additionally coincides with Bronx River Alliance's 25th anniversary of working to restore and reclaim the river as a thriving community resource for neighbors throughout the corridor.

The event is free and open to the public, rain or shine. The parade will kick off at THE POINT CDC and wind through Hunts Point, ending at Hunts Point Riverside Park where the Arts Festival will continue through the afternoon with live performances, art workshops, information tables from local organizations, and activities for all ages.
