TRAFFIC ADVISORY - I-84 Westbound All Lanes Blocked Between Exits 3 & 2
ALBANY, NY (07/05/2009)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority has announced an accident along I-84 westbound, between Exit 3 (Middletown, Goshen) and Exit 2 (Mountain Road), has temporarily closed all travel lanes.
All westbound lanes are blocked at this time. Motorists should plan for significant delays, and should seek alternate routes. Motorists traveling I-84 westbound are being diverted off the highway at Exit 3.
State Police, maintenance, fire and emergency service personnel are on the scene at this time.
Lanes will be reopened as soon as conditions safely permit.
As always, motorists traveling in the area are advised to drive with caution and plan for heavier than normal traffic volumes due to the holiday weekend.
The Authority appreciates motorists patience during this closure.
