TRAFFIC ADVISORY: New York State Thruway Authority Announces Delays Along I-90 Westbound Near Interchange 57A

Motorists Should Plan for Delays & Seek Alternate Routes

ALBANY, NY (04/30/2010)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority has announced delays along I-90 westbound from just west of Interchange 57A (Eden, Angola) due to a car fire.

Both westbound lanes are closed to traffic. Traffic is backed up approximately 2 miles. Westbound traffic is being diverted from the Thruway at Interchange 57A. The Thruway traffic lanes will reopen as soon as safety conditions permit.

Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) and Variable Message Signs (VMS) have been activated to alert motorists of the accident and the resulting delays.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this unscheduled lane closure.
