TRAFFIC ADVISORY: New York State Thruway Authority Announces Major Delays Along I-95 Southbound, Near Exit 15

Motorists Should Plan for Extended Delays & Seek Alternate Routes

ALBANY, NY (04/15/2010)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority has announced major delays along I-95 (New England Thruway) southbound from approximately Exit 18A (Mamaroneck, Fenimore Road) to Exit 15 (New Rochelle, US Route 1) due to a rollover accident.

Two left lanes southbound are currently closed. Southbound motorists traveling in the area are encouraged to plan for significant delays and may wish to seek alternate routes.

Southbound motorists are advised that delays are approximately 5-6 miles.

State Police, emergency and maintenance personnel are on the scene at this time. Lanes will be reopened as soon as conditions safely permit.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this unscheduled lane closure.
