TROY Alumnus Jeff Koch Speaks to SCOB Students on Leadership and the Pathway to a Successful Career

On Nov. 30, TROY alumnus Jeff Koch held a seminar for Sorrell College of Busines students at the Dothan Campus. His lecture included leadership examples from his past experiences in the military, as well as best practices regarding starting a career or seeking a promotion.

Koch served 23-years in the United States Air Force, retiring in the grade of Colonel. He was a Command Pilot, logging over 3,000 flying hours. His flying assignments included the A-10 "Warthog", T-38, and DA-20. He is a combat veteran logging 160 hours of combat time in OPERATION Desert Storm. His other assignments for the included being a Programmer for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, an Advance Agent for Air Force One, and running the Air Force House Liaison Office on Capitol Hill.

After his retirement in 2010, Koch ran the Legislative Liaison office for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). In 2012 he was selected to be a Chick-fil-A Operator, and in 2013 he opened the Chick-fil-A in Troy, AL. In April of 2016, he transitioned to the Chick-fil-A on Ross Clark Circle.
