Tanner Zyontz Receives Award at Randolph-Macon Academy

Tanner Zyontz, the son of June and Richard Zyontz of Middleburg, was recognized for outstanding achievement at Randolph-Macon Academy (R-MA) at the school's first end-of-year awards ceremony on May 14, 2012. Tanner received the American Citizenship Award for exhibiting outstanding citizenship behavior both on campus and off, and logging numerous hours of community service. He was a freshman at Randolph-Macon Academy during the 2011-12 school year.

Randolph-Macon Academy (R-MA), founded in 1892, is a college-preparatory, coeducational boarding school for students in grades 6 through 12. Students in grades 9-12 participate in R-MA's 91st Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC), which is currently recognized as a Distinguished Unit, and have the opportunity to learn to fly through a unique flight program. R-MA is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and is located in Front Royal, VA.
