WINFIELD, KS (10/06/2011)(readMedia)-- Taylor Kinnamon, daughter of Kevin Kinnamon, was named as a Southwestern College Homecoming queen candidate Oct. 3. Other candidates include: Katie Bipes, Topeka; Jacey Cullop, Sterling; Erin Buster, Wichita; and Kindell Copeland, Wichita.
Originally from Copeland, Kinnamon came to Southwestern to study business administration with a minor in accounting. She also participates in volleyball and track and works as a student ambassador. She is also a member of FCA, USAA, and the Student Government Association.
The coronation will take place at halftime of the Southwestern vs. Ottawa football game Oct. 8. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m.
Southwestern College is a private institution granting undergraduate and graduate degrees and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. About 1,800 students attend classes at the main Winfield campus, at five professional studies sites in Kansas and Oklahoma, or online around the world.
