LA MIRADA, CA (03/27/2014)(readMedia)-- Swimmer and two-time "Victory with Honor" award winner Victoria Dunbar of Temecula Valley High School will join Head Coach Eddie Shepard's swim team at Biola University in the fall.

"I am very excited to have Victoria joining us next fall," said Shepard. "I know that she has a great work ethic and will really push her teammates to swim better."

The 5-foot-6-inch Dunbar is a freestyle swimmer who specialized in the 100-, 200-, and 500-freestyle for her Temecula Valley squad.

"She is a very talented middle-distance freestyler who will bring a lot of depth to our program," said Shepard.

Dunbar is also an exceptional student, achieving over a 4.0 in high school, winning the Principal's Award and getting recognized as a CIF scholar-athlete.

Dunbar's major is currently undecided, and she was drawn to Biola because of its Christian principles and education.
