The Voice, Iowa State Fair Style

DES MOINES, IA (08/21/2018) (readMedia)-- Vocal cords were put to the test in the yodeling and children's singing competitions judged Thursday at the 2018 Iowa State Fair.

In the Yodeling competition, Jared Letton of Urbandale won first place. Chad Sutter of Polk City claimed second place and Theresa Hansen of Clarion earned third place.

Madeline Davis of Pleasant Hill claimed first place in the Children's Singing contest. Brody Sullivan of Bellevue earned second place and Adrian Green of Brighton took third place.

The contest was part of "Rural Americana Olde Tyme Competitions" in Farm Bureau Pioneer Hall. A first prize of $5 and ribbons were awarded to each class.
