Thompson Presents Sessions at College Media Convention

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL (03/23/2012)(readMedia)-- Brian Thompson, adviser to Flagler College's online-only newspaper The Gargoyle, gave two presentations at the 2012 College Media Association's convention in New York City this March.
He presented a session on opinion and commentary writing, as well as a session on publications that have gone online-only or that publish their news online-first, with the adviser from the University of Georgia's independent student newspaper.
The annual convention attracts almost 1,400 students and college media advisers to sessions that cover newspaper, broadcast, radio and new media.
Thompson, who is also director of news and information at Flagler, has advised the paper since 2003.
