Thruway Authority Announces All Westbound Lanes Open Near Interchange 30 (Herkimer) Following Accident

ALBANY, NY (02/20/2010)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that all westbound lanes are now open near Interchange 30 (Herkimer).

Both westbound lanes were closed earlier this morning due to an automobile accident at MP 216.8, which is approximately three miles east of the Herkimer Interchange. In addition, an eastbound passing lane that was shut down as a result of the accident has also been reopened.

The Thruway Authority utilized its Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) system to advise motorists' of the closure.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this incident.
