The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that repairs to the Highway Speed E-ZPass lanes at the Spring Valley Toll Barrier, located on I-87 northbound at milepost 24.3, will necessitate lane closures for two nights, beginning at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, weather permitting.
To facilitate the repairs, all three northbound mainline lanes will be closed beginning at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, until 5 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16. The lanes will also be closed from 11 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, until 5 a.m. on Friday, June 18. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
During the Highway Speed E-ZPass lane repairs and mainline lane closures, all traffic (both passenger and commercial vehicles) will be diverted through the toll lanes at the Spring Valley Toll Barrier, to the right of the mainline travel lanes. However, tolls will not be collected from passenger vehicles during these scheduled repairs.
The Authority will activate Variable Message Signs (VMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM to advise motorists of the closure.
The Authority appreciates motorists' patience while this essential work takes place.
