Thruway Authority Announces E-ZPass Repairs at Spring Valley Toll Barrier to Necessitate Lane Closures

ALBANY, NY (02/16/2010)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that E-ZPass repair work at the Spring Valley Toll Barrier located on I-87 northbound, at milepost 24.31, will necessitate mainline lane closures beginning at 11 p.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2010, until 4 a.m. on Friday, 19, 2010, weather permitting.

Beginning Thursday night at 11 p.m., all three northbound mainline lanes will be closed. During the E-ZPass repairs and resulting lane closures, all traffic (passenger and commercial vehicles) will be diverted through the toll lanes at the Spring Valley Toll Barrier. Tolls will not be collected from non-commercial passenger vehicles.

The Authority will activate its Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM to notify motorists of the closure.
