Thruway Authority Announces Fourth Auction of 2009 Scheduled for October 14

ALBANY, NY (10/07/2009)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that its fourth public auction of the year will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at 9 a.m. The auction will be held just north of Thruway Interchange 22, on Route 144 (River Road) in Selkirk.

More than 100 items will be sold at the auction, including used automobiles, trucks, tires, photo and printing equipment, construction and maintenance equipment, and miscellaneous parts and supplies. All items will be sold as is with attachments, parts, accessories or quantities as shown at the time of sale.

Items may be inspected the day prior to the sale, Tuesday, October 13, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. On the day of the sale, October 14, inspection of items for sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. The sale will be held primarily outdoors and conducted regardless of weather conditions.

The Authority would like to remind the public that auction information is available at the Authority's website http://www.nysthruway.gov/purchasing/auction/index.html or by visiting the Authority's homepage www.nysthruway.gov, and simply clicking on the button "Public Auction Schedule" in the left-hand column to view auction dates, item descriptions and directions to the auction site.

Free copies of the notice of sale, with a list of items to be auctioned, may also be obtained at the Thruway's Administrative Headquarters, 200 Southern Blvd., Albany, or by calling 518-436 2749.
