Thruway Authority Announces Fuel Services To Be Temporarily Suspended at Angola Travel Plaza on I-90 West
Restaurant and Restroom Services Remain Available to Motorists
ALBANY, NY (06/04/2010)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that fuel services at the westbound Angola Travel Plaza will be temporarily suspended beginning at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2010, for scheduled testing.
The Angola Travel Plaza is located along I-90 in both the eastbound and westbound directions between Interchange 57A (Eden, Angola) and Interchange 58 (Silver Creek, Irving, Route 438), at milepost 447. The scheduled testing will not impact eastbound motorists.
During the scheduled testing, restaurant and restroom services remain will available at the Angola Travel Plaza. Fuel services at the westbound Angola Travel Plaza are expected to resume the afternoon of Monday, June 7.
Westbound travelers in need of fuel are advised to stop at the Ontario Travel Plaza located at milepost 376 westbound along I-90 between Interchange 46 (Rochester, Corning, I-390) and Interchange 47 (Rochester, Leroy, I-490, Route 19). The Ontario Travel Plaza is approximately 71 miles east of the Angola Travel Plaza.
Motorists traveling westbound beyond the Ontario Travel Plaza are advised to seek fuel services outside the Thruway system. No fuel services are available at the Clarence Travel Plaza at milepost 412 because of ongoing renovations. The Authority will activate Variable Message Signs (VMS) prior to the Angola Travel Plaza to advise westbound motorists of the temporary suspension of fuel services.
