Thruway Authority Announces Fuel Services To Be Temporarily Suspended at the Ontario Travel Plaza on I-90 West
Restaurant and Restroom Services Will Remain Available to Motorists
ALBANY, NY (09/14/2010)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that fuel services at the Ontario Travel Plaza will be temporarily suspended beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday, September 16, 2010, for scheduled testing.
The Ontario Travel Plaza is located along I-90 westbound at milepost 376, between Interchange 46 (Rochester, Corning, I-390) and Interchange 47 (Rochester, LeRoy, I-490 and Route 19).
During the scheduled testing, restaurant and restroom services remain will remain available at the Ontario Travel Plaza. Fuel services at the Ontario Travel Plaza are expected to resume the afternoon of Thursday, September 16.
The Seneca Travel Plaza at milepost 350 on I-90 westbound also has temporarily suspended fuel services during renovations.
Westbound travelers in need of fuel are advised to stop at the Junius Ponds Travel Plaza at milepost 324, between Interchange 41 (Waterloo, Clyde, Route 414) and Interchange 42 (Geneva, Lyons, Route 14). The Junius Ponds Travel Plaza is approximately 52 miles east of the Ontario Travel Plaza.
Motorists traveling westbound I-90 can also obtain fuel at the Clarence Travel Plaza at milepost 412, between Interchange 48A (Pembroke, Medina, Route 77) and Interchange 49 (Depew, Lockport, Route 78). The Clarence Travel Plaza is approximately 36 miles west of the Ontario Travel Plaza.
The Authority will activate Variable Message Signs prior to the Ontario Travel Plaza to advise eastbound motorists of the temporary suspension of fuel services.
