Thruway Authority Announces Gas/Diesel Fuel Services To Be Temporarily Suspended At Oneida Travel Plaza

Restaurant and Restroom Facilities Will Remain Available

The New York State Thruway Authority today announced eastbound gas and diesel fuel services will be temporarily unavailable at Oneida Travel Plaza, located milepost 244, between Interchanges 33 (Verona) and 32 (Westmoreland) from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 17, 2010.

Restaurant and restroom services will remain available to motorists, while scheduled maintenance work on the fuel islands takes place.

Eastbound motorists in need of gas or diesel fuel are advised to stop at DeWitt Travel Plaza, located approximately 36 miles prior to Oneida Travel Plaza, between Interchanges 36 (Route 81/Mattydale) and 35 (Route 298/ Thompson Road) at milepost 280. The next opportunity for fuel beyond Oneida Travel Plaza, is Indian Castle Travel Plaza, located between Interchanges 29A (Little Falls) and 29 (Canajoharie), at milepost 210.

The Authority will have Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) activated to inform eastbound motorists of the temporary fuel suspension at Oneida Travel Plaza.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience while this necessary work takes place.
