Thruway Authority Announces I-87 Ramp Closure for Guiderail Repair

ALBANY, NY (03/10/2010)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that the northbound I-87 Interchange 1 ramp to Hall Place will be closed from Wednesday, March 10, at 9 p.m. until Thursday, March 11, at 5 a.m. for guiderail repair. The guiderail repair is being done as part of a larger roadway resurfacing project on I-87 from the City Line to Interchange 8 (I-287).

Northbound motorists will be directed pass Interchange 1 and to proceed to the following detour route:

Interchange 2 northbound (Yonkers Avenue) to Clark Street to southbound Central Park Avenue which will lead motorists to Hall Place.

Motorists should follow the posted detour signs.

Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM will be activated to inform motorists of the closure.

The Authority appreciates patrons' patience while this work takes place.
