Thruway Authority Announces Long Delays I-87 Northbound Between Tappan Zee Bridge and Exit 14B
Motorists May Want To Seek Alternate Routes
ALBANY, NY (09/30/2009)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that traffic congestion, slow traffic and long delays are currently taking place on I-87 northbound between Tappan Zee Bridge and Exit 14B. Motorists may want to seek alternate routes.
The Authority has activated Highway Advisory Radio and Dynamic Message Signs alerting motorists of the delays. In addition, the Authority has also issued a TRANSalert to subscribers.
The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this time.

The Authority offers a free email service called TRANSalert to its customers via email or text messaging to inform them of major unscheduled incidents that may affect their travel on the Thruway.
