Thruway Authority Announces Overnight Ramp Closure I-84 Westbound to I-684 Southbound

ALBANY, NY (08/09/2010)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced guide rail repairs will necessitate overnight closure of the ramp from I-84 westbound to I-684 southbound in Brewster beginning Tuesday night, August 10 at 11 p.m., weather permitting.

During the ramp closure period from 11 p.m Tuesday night, August 10, until 7 a.m. Wednesday morning August 11, detour signs will direct motorists traveling on I-84 west to use Exit 20 (Brewster) to Route 22 north (Pawling). At Exit 20 motorists will be directed to make a right turn onto Exit 10S to Route 6 westbound, and proceed for about one-half mile and then turn right onto the ramp to I-684 south.

Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM and 1610 AM will be activated to notify motorists of the ramp closure and detour.
