Thruway Authority Announces Pavement Repairs Between Interchanges 42 (Geneva) and 44 (Canandaigua)

Motorists May Experience Moderate Delays in Both Directions

ALBANY, NY (07/31/2009)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway today announced pavement repair projects between Interchange 42 (Geneva) and Interchange 44 (Canandaigua) will necessitate daily lane closures in both the eastbound and westbound directions beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2009, weather permitting.

During these projects, motorists may experience moderate delays. Moderate delays means that motorists' travel times could be delayed five to 20 minutes longer than normal time.

On Monday, August 3, from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m., pavement repairs will take place in the left westbound from milepost 342.3 to 343.7.

On Tuesday, August 4, from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m., pavement repairs will take place in the left eastbound lane from milepost 331.6 to 330.4.

On Wednesday, August 5, and Thursday, August 6, from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m., pavement repairs will take place in the right westbound lane from milepost 332.7 to 333.4.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience while these important improvement projects take place.
