Thruway Authority Announces Right Lane Eastbound Between Int. 36 & 35 Reopened to Traffic
ALBANY, NY (01/14/2010)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that the right lane eastbound between Interchange 36 (Watertown, Binghamton, I-81) and Interchange 35 (Syracuse, East Syracuse) has been reopened to traffic.
The lane had been closed for clean-up after an early morning tractor-trailer accident at milepost 280 eastbound. Milepost 280 eastbound is near the DeWitt Travel Plaza, approximately two miles east of Interchange 36.
Throughout the lane closure, the Authority activated Highway Advisory Radio and Dynamic Message Signs to alert motorists. Additionally, throughout the day the Authority issued TRANSalerts to subscribers.
The Authority appreciates motorists' patience and understanding during this unscheduled closure.
