Thruway Authority Announces Temporary Entrance Ramp Closure at Exit 2 (Clinton Street) on I-190 Northbound

Motorists Advised to Follow Signed Detour Route

ALBANY, NY (10/06/2009)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced the entrance ramp from Exit 2 (Clinton Street) located on I-190 (Niagara Thruway) northbound will be temporarily closed for necessary bridge work beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, weather permitting.

The Exit 2 entrance ramp to the I-190 northbound will be closed on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and again on Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Northbound motorists are advised to follow a signed detour route to Exit 3 (Seneca Street), proceed west on Clinton Street, take a left onto Bailey Avenue (Route 62), take a right on to Seneca Street and return to the I-190 northbound with the entrance on the left side.

During this closure, Authority maintenance crews will be performing necessary bridge work.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience while this essential work takes place.
