ALBANY, NY (03/17/2010)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that the pavement reconstruction project taking place just west of Syracuse will necessitate a brief rolling road block westbound from Interchange 38 (Liverpool/Route 57) to just past Interchange 39 (Syracuse/Fulton/Route 690), Thursday, March 18.
Between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. one rolling road block will take place in both westbound lanes from milepost 286 to 294, while construction personnel prepare pavement for a traffic shift that is slated to take place next week. The rolling road block should last less than 20 minutes and could cause minor to moderate delays.
Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) will be in place to alert motorists of the work and any delays associated with it.
Motorists are encouraged to remain alert and aware of their surroundings while traveling through both areas.
The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this necessary project.
