Toledo Farm Exhibits Top Boar in Iowa State Fair Poland China Show

DES MOINES, IA (08/22/2016)(readMedia)-- IXL Breeding Herds of Toledo claimed the Grand Champion Boar banner in the Poland China Swine show judged Friday at the 2016 Iowa State Fair.

The Champion Gilt banner went to Kbe Showpigs of Linden. Long Family Farms of Cedar was awarded Reserve Champion Gilt honors, and Maynard Thompson of Tama won Reserve Champion Boar honors.

Roger Caltrider of Casey won Premier Exhibitor honors. The Premier Exhibitor award is presented to the exhibitor earning the highest point total in individual breeding class competition.

Animals are divided according to farrowing date based on the other animals entered in the competition.
