Traffic Advisory:Thruway Authority Announces Three Lanes Southbound Closed I-87 Between Interchanges 11 and 10

ALBANY, NY (10/10/2009)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority has announced three southbound lanes are closed along I-87 at milepost 17 due to a multi-vehicle accident. Milepost 17 is located between Interchange 11 (Nyack, US Route 9W) and Interchange 10 (Nyack, South Nyack).

At this time, three right lanes southbound are blocked at milepost 17; one lane southbound remains open. Motorists should plan for significant delays along I-87 in this area. Motorists may wish to seek alternate routes.

State Police, Thruway Authority maintenance crews, and emergency personnel are on the scene at this time. Lanes will be reopened as soon as conditions safely permit.
