Traffic Advisory: Two Right Southbound Lanes on Tappan Zee Bridge Blocked Due to Multi-Vehicle Accident
Motorists Are Encouraged to Plan for Delays
ALBANY, NY (10/22/2009)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority announced that two right southbound lanes on the Tappan Zee Bridge are currently blocked due to a multi-vehicle accident.
Motorists are encouraged to plan for potential delays, to watch for slow and/or stopped traffic and to seek alternate routes, if possible.
The Authority has activated its Highway Advisory Radio (HAR), Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), and issued a TRANSalert to subscribers to advise motorists of the lane closures.
The lanes will be reopened as soon as conditions safely permit.
The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this time.
