Traffic Alert: Thruway Announces Multi-Vehicle Accident Northbound On I-87 Near Interchange 20 (Saugerties)

The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that a multi-vehicle accident just north of Interchange 20 (Saugerties) on I-87 has closed all northbound lanes.

At this time, northbound traffic is being diverted through the Malden Travel Plaza parking area, located milepost 103, until further notice. Northbound motorists may want to consider alternate routes.

State police and emergency vehicles are on the scene at this time.

Lanes will be reopened as soon as conditions safely permit.

The Authority has activated a Dynamic Message Sign Board, Highway Advisory Radio and issued a TRANSalert to subscribers to notify them of the incident and resulting delays.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this time.
