Traffic Update: Right Lane Eastbound Open along I-90 Between Interchange 27 and Interchange 26

Left Lane Eastbound Remains Closed

ALBANY, NY (10/01/2009)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that right lane eastbound along I-90 between Interchange 27 (Amsterdam) and Interchange 26 (Schenectady/I-890) has been reopened to traffic. The left lane eastbound remains closed due to an early morning tandem-trailer accident at milepost 165.0.

The left lane eastbound is expected to remain closed for several hours. Motorists are encouraged to plan for delays.

The Authority has activated its Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) to advise motorists of the closure. The Authority has also issued TRANSalerts to subscribers.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this incident.
