The next edition of "Transitions -- The Virginia Tech Tragedy - A Different Kind of Grief” will be transmitted to you via readMedia newswire before or during the week of June 26th. Members of the public as well as college students have experienced feelings of anger, shock and sadness resulting from news of these deaths in a supposedly safe environment. This column will discuss ways to ease this particular kind of grief.

"Transitions" is compiled by Bonnie L. McCullough, executive director of the New York State Funeral Directors Association (NYSFDA). Founded in 1889, NYSFDA maintains a Website at www.nysfda.org and conducts ongoing educational programs that inform consumers about all aspects of funerals and end-of-life issues.
