Travel Advisory: Thruway Authority Advises Eastbound Motorists of Delays Between Interchanges 54 & 53
ALBANY, NY (01/28/2010)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority encourages motorists traveling eastbound between Interchange 54 (West Seneca) and Interchange 53 (Buffalo-Downtown, Canada, I-190) to plan for delays during the evening commute, especially near eastbound milepost 427.6.
At this time the right and center eastbound lanes are blocked due to a jack-knifed tractor trailer. Currently, traffic is backed up approximately 3 miles.
Eastbound motorists traveling in this area are encouraged to seek alternate routes; those motorists remaining on the Thruway should plan for extended delays while traveling through this area.
The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during these temporary lane closures.
