Trevecca's Baskin Selected to CoSIDA All-District Academic Team

NASHVILLE, TN (11/13/2012)(readMedia)-- Junior Jonathan Baskin been named to the men's soccer Capital One Academic All-America® All-District 4 Team as selected by CoSIDA , announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

This is the second year in a row that Baskin has received a spot on the first team of the district. A year ago, the Mt. Juliet, Tenn., native earned First Team Capital One Academic All-District honors as well.

An business management student-athlete, Baskin earned All-TranSouth Scholar Athlete honors last year and boasts a 3.98 GPA.

Baskin started 14 of the 17 games he played in and led the team with 10 goals and added two assists for a 22 point season. For his efforts Baskin was selected to the first-ever Great Midwest Athletic All-Conference team. Baskin was selected to the G-MAC second team. Baskin was named the first-ever G-MAC Men's Soccer player of the week on September 3, 2012.

In being a first team all-district selection, Basking now moves on to national balloting for the Capital One Academic All-America® Teams.
