Trevecca's Brooke Gann Named NCCAA All-American

Chattanooga Native Piles Up Records/Awards

KANSAS CITY, KAN. (12/10/2012)(readMedia)-- The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has selected Trevecca women's soccer player Brooke Gann (Chattanooga, Tenn.) as a 2012 NSCAA/Continental Tire NCCAA Division I Women's All-America Team.

Gann, a 5-3 sophomore midfielder/forward from East Ridge High School, is already third on Trevecca's career goals (20) scored list and is now the season goals scored record holder with 12 goals this season.

Gann and her teammates won twice as many games as any previous Trevecca team has in one season. The 16 wins doubles the school-record for wins in a season. The team won the first-ever regular season and tournament championship in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. The team moved on to win the NCCAA Mid-East Regional and earn a trip to the 2012 NCCAA Championships where the team upset the top-seeded team in the quarterfinals before finishing fourth in the nation.

The award will be officially presented at the annual NSCAA All-America Luncheon on Saturday, January 19, 2013, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The luncheon is held in conjunction with the 66th annual NSCAA Convention, the largest annual gathering of soccer coaches in the world. The convention draws over 10,000 coaches, administrators and soccer business professionals from across the country and around the world. It features coaching clinics, workshops and meetings and has the nation's largest soccer tradeshow in a 100,000 square-foot exhibition hall. Major League Soccer annually conducts its SuperDraft at the convention.

Trevecca Nazarene University is a Christian liberal arts university located in Nashville, Tenn., Music City, USA.
