Trevecca's Gann Named G-MAC Women's Soccer POW

NASHVILLE, TN (10/02/2012)(readMedia)-- The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has released its Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week: Brooke Gann from Trevecca Nararene University. Gann is a product of East Ridge High School in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Gann, a 5-5 sophomore, posted the team's first hat-trick of the season, scoring three times in a victory over Tennessee Temple University.

Her three goals give her four on the season, leading the way for Trevecca, who improved to 3-2-2 on the season and extended its unbeaten streak to five in a row since starting the season 0-2.

Against Tennessee Temple, Gann started the scoring quickly, giving Trevecca the eventual game-winner just 2:45 into the first half. She later added a goal in the 40th minute and then capped off her afternoon with her third goal coming just 19 seconds before the half.

Trevecca Nazarene University is a Christian liberal arts university located in Nashville, Tenn., Music City, USA. Now in its 111th year, Trevecca is committed to educate "leaders and servants" through undergraduate and graduate education. Trevecca's athletic teams are in the second year of a three year transition to NCAA Division ll status. Trevecca fields 11 intercollegiate teams that compete in the newly formed NCAA Division ll Great Midwest Athletic Conferece.
