Tribute to Katina Thomas to Be Held Friday, May 29th

Friday, May 29th 7:00 p.m. Tribute Service, 8:00 p.m. "Walk of Love"

ALBANY, NY (05/27/2009)(readMedia)-- It has been one year since the senseless shooting of 10-year old Katina Thomas. Victory Christian Church will hold a tribute service in her memory with family, friends and community leaders in attendance. Everyone is welcome. The service will be held May 29th at 7:00 p.m. at Victory Church, located at 118 Quail Street.

After the service at 8:00 p.m. there will be a "Walk of Love" from the church, ending at the 400 block of First Street for a time of prayer and reflection. Katina was shot at 8:20 p.m. last year. This year, flowers will be handed out as a gesture of her life. The service will focus on how one life got the attention of a community and brought about a positive change.
