Trine's Overlooked Film Festival continues with 'Battle of the Sexes'

ANGOLA, IN (02/26/2018) Trine University's Overlooked Film Festival will continue this Thursday, March 1, with "Battle of the Sexes."

The Overlooked Film Festival gives members of Trine's local community the opportunity to watch free films that were not released locally or that were generally "overlooked" at the time of their release. All films will be shown at 7 p.m. at the Fabiani Theater in the Rick L. and Vicki L. James University Center.

Concessions will be sold outside the theater by sisters of Phi Sigma sorority prior to the showing. Fabiani has a maximum capacity of 320 guests, so it's recommended that attendees with specific seating preferences arrive early.

"Battle of the Sexes," rated PG-13, tells the true story of the 1973 tennis match between Billie Jean King (Emma Stone) and Bobby Riggs (Steve Carell). Their famous match left the world and those striving for equality breathless as the women's movement started to take ground. This rivalry led to one of the most watched televised sports event of all time, reaching 90 million viewers around the world.
