SUNY Potsdam Bears Athletics Offers Ninth Annual Shamrock Run on St. Patrick's Day, March 17

POTSDAM, NY (03/06/2015)(readMedia)-- Everyone is welcome to go for the gold in SUNY Potsdam's sixth annual 5K fun run/walk, sponsored by the College's Department of Athletics. This year, the race will be offered on St. Patrick's Day.

The 2015 Shamrock Run will be held on Tuesday, March 17, starting at the Maxcy Hall Athletic Complex ramp. Walkers leave at 4:15 p.m., and runners start at 4:30 p.m. Race-day registration begins at 3:30 p.m.

Registration is free to all SUNY Potsdam students with a valid ID, and there is a preregistration fee of $15 or a race day registration fee of $20 for all others. The first 200 registrants will receive a T-shirt, and prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers.

Preregistration is available now, by filling out forms available in the Fitness Center or online, by clicking the shamrock link at www.potsdam.edu/athletics/fitnesscenter.

The Shamrock Run is sponsored by SUNY Potsdam intramurals, the Shane T. Saul Fitness Center, Victory Promotions, SUNY Potsdam Athletics and MVP Sports.
