The 12th annual American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Car Show at Wilkes University will be held on Sunday, April 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be held in the parking lot behind the Henry Student Center, 84 W. South St., Wilkes-Barre. The show is free for spectators. Those interested in participating may register a vehicle on the day of the event beginning at 8:30 a.m. The rain date is April 22.

The cost is $10 for pre-registration and $15 per car, truck or SUV the day of the show. To pre-register contact ASME, or visit the Facebook page, Wilkes ASME Car Show. There are no restrictions on make or model of vehicle to be registered.

There will be over nine categories for car entrance and giveaways. All entries receive an official car show t-shirt. Judging begins at 10 a.m. ends at 1:30 p.m. Awards will be announced at 2:30 p.m.

Vendors at the show will include Webby's Dessert, Yogi's Ethnic Foods, an Amsoil Dealer, Auto Addictions and Rally Gear Design. Live music is also planned. At the end of the event, a check presentation will be made to American Cancer Society.
