Two Local Student receive Commencement Awards at Bryant University

SMITHFIELD, RI (05/21/2012)(readMedia)-- (l-r) Martin McGeehan and Daniel Webb are congratulated by President Ronald K. Machtley for receiving two Commencement Awards at Bryant's 149th Commencement held on Saturday, May 19.
Martin McGeehan of Woonsocket, and Daniel Webb of Harrisville, both received the George J. Kelley Award presented to the graduate with the highest cumulative grade point average at of the end of the fall semester.
McGeehan also received the Anna M. & Jere St. Angelo '61 Accounting Award presented to the graduate who has demonstrated a high level of achievement and is in the top 10 percent of the class and will enter a career in public accounting. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting, summa cum laude.
Webb also received the Jack H. Rubens Leadership in Finance Award for outstanding performance in academics, service to the finance department, and enthusiasm and leadership in extracurricular activities related to finance. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance, summa cum laude.
