UMass Dartmouth Engineering Senior Justin Cantara of Fall River, MA Showcases Designs

UMass Dartmouth College of Engineering student Justin Cantara of Fall River recently was among 54 members of the Class of 2011 who presented projects at the university's annual senior design presentation. Cantara and fellow team members designed an electric generating wave attenuation device as part of a project entitled, " electricity generating wave attenuation device."
The College of Engineering aims to produce the best prepared workforce necessary to meet the challenges of the 21st century in energy, the environment, human health and security – and to enhance economic prosperity and quality of life. Beginning in the fall of 2011, the College of Engineering will start a first-in-the-UMass system bio-engineering undergraduate program that will prepare students to prosper in the fast-emerging biotechnology/biomedical device industry or go on to medical or other graduate schools.
