Five Years Five Projects Lasting Results
ALBANY, NY (10/22/2010)(readMedia)-- Pastor Charlie Muller of the Victory Christian Church in Albany NY has been involved with make a difference day for five years. Every year he works on a local project and always gets lasting results.
Last year USA Today called Pastor Charlie about his project and this year Pastor Charlie plans on doing five projects on Saturday Oct 23.
1) Some of the Prisoners of sullivan correctional facility will write letters encouraging youth not to follow their path. Many of the inmates are involved with the Albany Gun Buyback and started the first prison buy back program helping the Albany effort. David Berkiwitz the Son of Sam Killer contacted Pastor Charlie About helping him in endorsing the Albany Buy Back.
2) The inside of a 40 foot shipping container for Haiti orphans will be framed as a fish market and a internet cafe. The end of the container will be a taxi office for a scooter taxi service. With many volunteers for make a difference day Pastor Charlie is looking to finish most of the work on the container. With these three businesses up and running in Haiti Pastor Charlie will then use the income to help build a orphanage that will house two hundred orphans. Pastor Charlie will build this entire orphanage with shipping containers a first in Haiti.
3) Anti violence thrust with hand outs and information for collage students. Gun Buyback cards to all of Arbor Hill.
4) Bread hand out on first street and warren street locations in downtown Albany.
5) Make a difference day breakfast for workers and volunteers at 63 Quail st. location.
