USC Aiken Ranked Among Top 100 Online Programs

AIKEN, SC (01/12/2018) This week, U.S. News and World Report announced that USC Aiken ranked among its top 100 2018 U.S. News Best Online Bachelor's Programs.

"I am extremely proud of this important recognition," said Dr. Sandra Jordan, chancellor.

"It's another testament to our expert faculty and staff who continually find unique and engaging ways - leveraging all the resources available, including technology - to help students achieve their educational goals.

"Online programs such as ours provide students a convenient alternative that allows them to earn a bachelor's degree. This approach fits into their lifestyles, which may include jobs and other demanding responsibilities," Jordan added.

According to the U.S. News website, most students in online programs have already earned some college credit. Generally, they are working professionals hoping to grow in their current careers or possibly even change careers.

In addition to the RN-BSN completion program, USC Aiken's online degree programs - offered through Palmetto College - are:

-- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting

-- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Management

-- Bachelor of Arts in Special Education

The main criteria for the rankings included: student engagement, student services and technology, faculty credentials, and training and peer reputation.

USC Aiken and Charleston Southern University were the only institutions in South Carolina to receive a national Best Online Bachelors Program ranking in the top 100.
