University of New Hampshire Graduate Student Meagan Wengrove Receives Fulbright Scholarship

DURHAM, NH (05/04/2012)(readMedia)-- Meagan Wengrove of Arvada has received a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship.  Each year the Fulbright U.S. Student Program awards grants to exceptional American students to study in more than 140 countries. 

Wengrove '10, a civil engineering major, will conduct research on flood risk assessment in relation to estuarine inlets this summmer at TU Delft University in The Netherlands.  In 2009, Wengrove received a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship to conduct storm water research in Puerto Rico. Her article "Upstream to Downstream: Stormwater Quality in Mayaquez, Puerto Rico" was published in the scientific journal "Environmental Monitoring and Assessment" in September 2011.
