University of San Diego Student Rani Kumar Receives Research Award

Rani Kumar received the Distinguished Student Researcher Award for her work in Peru this past spring. Kumar, who is majoring in Environmental Studies and Spanish, took part in the School for Field Studies Andes-Amazon Studies program. Her research, "Amazonian Migration Patterns: Causes and consequences of Andean settlement in the community of Pillcopata, Peru" aimed at understanding the historical timeline of the Andean population's migration to the Amazon.
