Thursday, March 3 – Armchair Traveler Lecture Series
Steve Langdon will give a talk at 7 p.m. on the flora, fauna, research and discoveries of the Adirondack forest area known as the Shingle Shanty Preserve.
Saturday, March 5 – Maple Tapping Workshop
Join us for this workshop from 10 a.m. to noon and learn about species identification, proper tapping techniques, enhancing your sugar bush and the pros and cons of sugar bush locations. $20/person, $10 for Friends of the VIC.
Saturday-Sunday, March 5-6 – Bowl and Roll
Paul Smith's College culinary student Bill Rock will be on hand from noon to 3 p.m. to dish out a hearty cup of soup and a roll for $4.
Sunday, March 6 – Sunday Ski and Music
Enjoy live music by Andrew Coulter and hit the trails from 1-3 p.m.

Free skiing for anyone who declares "I am woman, hear me roar!"

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day from 1-3 p.m. with Irish food and music by Community Ceilidh.

Saturday-Sunday, March 19-20 – Maple Weekend
The VIC will take part in the Northeastern New York Maple Producer's region-wide event. Tour our facilities, learn about maple sugaring and sign up for our Community Maple Program. Our Sap to Syrup Workshop takes place from 9 a.m. to noon. $20/person.
Thursday, March 24 – Volunteer Potluck
Get the scoop on upcoming events and activities. 5:30-7 p.m. Sign up for volunteer opportunities and organize training sessions. Bring a dish to pass and a place setting. We will meet for hors d'oeuvres at 5:30 p.m. Dinner is at 6 p.m.

Professor Celia Evans and her students will give a talk at 7 p.m. on their recent trip to Russia. Learn about their experiences and their ongoing research.
