PAUL SMITHS, NY (04/11/2016)(readMedia)-- Friday-Sunday, April 15-17 – Plein Air Paint Out

Join regional artists on the VIC trails as they create plein-air artwork before your very eyes. This is a great opportunity to meet the artists, get some exercise and enjoy the natural environment. The paintings produced over the weekend will be framed and hung in the gallery space at the VIC and will remain on exhibit until May 31.

Saturday, April 16 – SAM Fest

Don't miss this day-long festival of art, music and TED-style talks. 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. $5/person. Free for the Paul Smith's College community and Friends of the VIC. Thursday, April 21 – Earth Day Volunteer Potluck

Get the scoop on upcoming events and activities. 5:30-7 p.m. Sign up for volunteer opportunities and organize training sessions. Bring a dish to pass and a place setting. We will meet for hors d'oeuvres at 5:30 p.m. Dinner is at 6 p.m.

Thursday, April 21 – Armchair Lecture Series

Stephen Langdon will give a talk at 7 p.m. about the Shingle Shanty Preserve and Research Station in the central Adirondacks.

Friday, April 29 – Arbor Day at the VIC

Richard Gast and Paul Hetzler will give a talk at 10 a.m. on forest regeneration.
